there is another spot in England where people open their front and back doors so that the frogs can pass right through their homes by a more direct route.
The film crew plans a trip to England to include some of these frogs in their movie.
Most of the filming at the Van Nesses last Sunday concentrated on four childrens’ quest to catch frogs. The actors were Yana McLaughlin, Alex Purnell, and Tyler and Jamie Hartman. The youngsters were filmed running down a hillside with their nets, holding frogs, kissing frogs (they didn’t all do it), and searching for frogs alongside the edge of the pond. Some of the children even brought some of their own frogs with them.
Yana’s mother, Kim McLaughlin, said that Yana catches frogs every day at home, and she puts them baick in the water. “She had a blast working on the film,” she said. Yana is a student at Rappahannock County Elementary School. ,
Tyler and Jamie Hartman, who also attend RCES, are avid frog catchers. Jamie had the most exciting moment of the day when he caught a frog at the pond’s edge while the camera was rolling. Their dad, J.D. Hartman, said, “They loved it. Both are very involved in catching frogs.”
