Applicants for a driver's license, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), instruction permit or photo identification card will be required to provide proof of residency to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) during the application process, effective July 1. The new requirements is a result of legislation passed during the 1993 General Assembly session.
