County Administrator John McCarthy said, “I talked with Marie Jenkins about what would be good for him and good for the community. He had the idea of constructing a nature trail. Mark spent a great deal of effort in making it the kind of activity that everyone can eryoy. I am here to applaude Marie’s accomplishment and recommend it to you.”
Sam Snead said it was a real honor for him to be in attendance. He said, “I am Mark’s Sunday school teacher and youth leader. It has been nice to see Mark develop over the years.” He told Mark that the comradeship of being an Eagle Scout is something that Mark would treasure throughout his life. He told Mark, “I am very, very proud of you.”
Bud Brune, a Flint Hill resident who also attained the honor of Eagle Scout, told Mark, UI know what it takes to get the honor you have tonight. You are really a fine example. Welcome.”
