Last week, Mark Jenkins of Flint Hill was bestowed with the highest honor a Boy Scout can receive. He is now an Eagle Scout, the first one in Rappahannock County since Skippy Giles became an Eagle scout about four years ago.
Jay Katzen attended the celebration for Marie at the Flint Hill Fire Hall, and said that he has three sons who are all Eagle Scouts. “I know w.iat a great achievement this is for you, Mark. You are our future and we cannot do much better than what we have in this room,” he said.
Paul Nichols, Scoutmaster of Troop 36, said that he has 23 Boy Scouts on his roll, and that they have a lot of fun. He said of Pete Jenkins, Mark’s father, "This man wants everything natural; he is a naturalist. A lot of people think they are a naturalist, but he really is one.” He praised both of Mark’s
