He was an Eagle Scout, and bound to rise to the top. James C. Lee has taken over as President of the Piedmont United Way. As of July 1, Lee, the owner of Clement Insurance Agency of Culpeper, and Vice President of the Lee-Curtis Insurance Service of Fredericksburg, replaces Tom Winfrey of Jefferson Savings and Loan, Warrenton, as head or the organization serving the people of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Counties.
James Lee came to the Piedmont United way in 1988 from the Rappahannock United Way in Fredericksburg. He has, served locally as campaign division chairman, member of the Allocations Committee, and the Long Range Planning Committee, the Board of Directors, Treasurer, and most recently as First Vice President. He is also of the Executive Committee of the United Way of Virginia.
His goal is to help Piedmont United Way take the lead in bringing all agencies together to meet the needs of the people of Planning District 9.
