At the passing of the 50th anniversary of D-Day I had the opportunity to witness a memorium service for the veterans first hand, and I thought readers might be interested.
On June 6, 1994, as the sun rose over the very waters and beaches that saw so much death 50 years before, I listened to the touching speeches and prayers of remembrance given by the President, the Secretary of the Navy, a veteran and others. I was greatly moved.
