“They key to the future is finding out what grant money is still available, and helping local agencies tap into it,” he added.

Some grants require local agencies to raise matching funds. Others require an organization, like the United Way, to act as go-between or sponsor. Lee pledges his administration to help with these tasks.

Lee, who will be 40 in October, is a member of the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce, the Culpeper Rotary Club, the Culpeper Country Club, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Myrtle Lodge . 50, Sons of the American Legion Foundation, and the Cavalry Museum of Culpeper.

He is a Life Member of the Certified Professional Insurance Agent Society (CPIA), a member of the Society for the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and is a Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF).

Lee was bom in Fredericksburg, and is a 1977 graduate of the University of Richmond. He and his wife Catherine have two sons, Joey and Jeffrey.
