To Rwanda

Del. Jay Katzen, R-31st District, was unable to keep his appointment to meet with Rappahannock County constituents at the county library Tuesday afternoon because he left Saturday for a two-to-three week stay in Rwanda.
Marge Van Deman, a legislative assistant in Del. Katzen’s Warrenton office, said that he had gone with a group of doctors and nurses sponsored by Operation Blessing, a Virginia-based humanitarian relief organization tied to Pat Robertson. The medical team will op- t erate from field hospitals inside Rwanda. She noted that Del. Katzen knows four languages of central Africa as a result of his career in the foreign service which began with tours in the area.
