Compton and David Compton, both of Castleton; three grandchildren, Robert William Compton Jr., Gary Wayne Compton and George Lee Compton, all of Front Royal.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Lee Compton; three brothers, John M. Compton, Warren E. (Jack) Compton and Albert (Buck) Compton and one sister, Sadie L. Compton.
Pallbearers were William Robert Compton, Jimmy Lee Compton, James Edward Compton, Danny Lynn Compton, Ronnie Lee Compton and Charles Edward Compton. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Kirby, Chuck Wharton, George Pullen, David Nuckles, Sammy L. Campbell, Roger W. Figgins and Cecil J. Seabaugh.
Robert Beach
Mr. Robert Nelson Beach, 71, of Amissville, died on Sunday, Aug. 7 at his residence.
Mr. Beach, a son of Nelson and Antoinette Beach, was raised in Fauquier County.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during World War II in Germany, Austria and France.
Mr. Beach was a retired Fireman at the Warrenton Training Center, he was also a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church. f
He is survived by his wife, Anna W. Beach; two sons, Dennis N. Beach of Madison and Kevin R. Beach of Amissville; four stepsons, William Widor of Amissville, Robert Widor of Culpeper, Jeff Widor of Lake of the Woods, Gary Widor of Stafford and three stepdaughters, Laurel Beach of Amissville, Merry Richards of Round Rock, TX and Karen Mays of Stafford.
Additional survivors include a sister, Hilda Andes of Front Royal; a brother, Johnny Beach of Aquia Harbor; an aunt, Nellie Lunceford of Warrenton; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beach was preceded in death by a brother, William Edward Beach and a sister, Dorothy J. Andes.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at Moser Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Nancy B. White officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton with military honors.
