told him that her son had asked her to pick him up and return him to the jail. She drove to Radford, where Mr. Williston had been spending most of his time, and picked him up on a street comer. They then proceeded to the jail, where Mr. Williston turned himself in on Aug. 4.
Major Streapy said that he did not feel* it would have been a good idea to accompany Mrs. Williston to pick up her son, as he might have seen him and decided to run. He knew Mr. Williston had been in the Radford area for some time.
Mr. Williston was arraigned on; Tuesday on the charges of escape, breaking and entering, two charges of grand larceny (all felonies), and one charge of petit larceny (a misdemeanor).
Mr. Williston told Major Streapy that he had been camping and fishing most of the time since he left. >
