The Virginia-shaped baskets are purchased from a vendor in Rocky Mount, Virginia, and the Hutcheson buy them in three different sizes. The company also makes baskets for other states, and will make a basket in any shape desired.
Their large gift basket is filled with brandied peaches, dilly beans, apple butter (sill from Sunset Hills Farm), a bottle of Alpenglow sparkling cider and a bag of Olde Shenandoah soup mix.
The Hutchesons attend the annual Virginia Food Expo, which highlights Virginia producers of gourmet food. Mr. Hutcheson said that the Expo is a great place to make contacts, and he has had several gourmet food market owners contact him to sell his products in their stores. i
