Sheriff Woodward reported that early Tuesday morning one family was evacuated from a house on Route <J30 near Flint Hill.
Many roads were made impassible by the flooding. Some remained impassible even when the water retreated because bridges or their approaches were washed out.
Among others, the Fodderstack Road, Harris Hollow Road and Gid Brown Hollow Road were still impassable Tuesday evening.
At Goat Hill Farm in Tiger Valley, floodwaters washed away 8,000 tomato plants, along with lettuce, chilies, squash and garlic.
That was the majority of the crop, but a few plants still remain by the house where the land is not so low. Terry Lehman of Goat Hill Farm said
