20th Annual July 4th Celebration
The public is invited to come and celebrate the 20th annual Fourth of July day-long celebration in Washington on Tuesday, July 4. There will be a juried craft show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., bicycle parade for children 12 and under 4:15 p.m., musical entertainment from 6-8 p.m. and a barbecue dinner at 4 p.m. There will be food, ice cream and home baked goodies available. Throughout the day there will be patriotic events and performing artists.
There will be a $2 per car parking charge or $1 per person with all proceeds going to the fire department and other local charities and organizations.
Benefit Bake Sale
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Fire Department is having a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 4 at the Washington Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop. All baked goods and donations will be greatly appreciated.
