Contestants Sought

Anyone interested in running for king or queen for the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department may call Connie Huff Harris at 675-3389. The carnival will be held July 26-29.

4-H Fundraiser Planned

Cedar Mountain 4-H will have a clay shooting fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 22. Cost will be 25 shots for $7.50. For more information call 543-2070.

Country Comes To Town!

Have you ever watched the dancers on TNN and wishes you knew how? Well, now is your chance to leam. A six week course of Couples Dances for beginners will be taught at the Washington Fire Hall starting on Tuesday, July 11. The instructor is Edward Wilman and he will be teaching Waltz, Two Step and Swing.

Lessons are from 7-9 p.m. each Tuesday from July 11 — Aug. 15. The six weeks of tuition (12 hours) will cost $30 per person and you will need a partner.

Numbers will be limited by the size of the hall. So pre-registration is advised. For more information call Edward Wilman on 675-1186.

Movie At Theater

Schindler’s List will be the movie at the Theater at Washington at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 21. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Flint Hill Carnival Set

Carnival dates for the Flint Hill Fire Department have been set for July 26-29. The parade will be held on Friday this year. For more information on the parade call Harry Tummeyer at 635-8278.

Hitt Family Dinner, Reunion

The descendants of Peter Hitt, one of the 1714 German Settlers at Germanna, Va., will gather at the Holiday inn in Culpeper for a Hitt family dinner and reunion on July 14. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. to allow for late arrivals in Culpeper of those, who will be attending the Germanna Reunion on Saturday and Sunday. However, those arriving early and those living nearby will gather at 5 p.m. for Happy Hour and to discuss their Hitt Family Genealogy.If you plan to attend and bring a guest(s), please send a postcard showing the names to: Mrs. H.W.
