Besides his wife Ann, he is survived by his children; Steven of Palermo, Maine; his daughter, Susan of Framingham; his daughter and sonin-law, Sarah and Jeff Beckley of Steuben, Maine; his son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Linda Coit of Sperryville; his son and daughter-inlaw, Fred and Katie and their children, Christina, Anna, Maria and Michael.
A private family gathering will be held at a future date.
Ebb Atkins
Ebb Meneffee Atkins, 94, of Sperryville died on Sunday, June 25 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 17, 1900, in Rappahannock County. He was the son of the late Coley and Sissy Atkins.
Survivors include ten children, Huey Atkins, Juanita Atkins, Jane Baker, Mahlon Atkins, Elise Atkins, George Atkins and Ruth Atkins, all of Sperryville, Annie Huff of Flint Hill, Minnie Pullen of Washington and Ebb Junior Atkins of Gainesville.
He is also survived by two brothers, Kinzey Atkins of West Virginia and Lemon Atkins of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Atkins and one sister, Dicey Atkins.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 27 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Kirby Shenk and Rev. John Burke officiating.
Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Atkins, Tony Atkins, Chucky Baker, David Huff, Mike Atkins and James Atkins.
