The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, met at noon on June 13 for luncheon at the home of Mrs. Edgar F. Puryear, Jr., in Madison with Mrs. Puryear and Mrs. Philip Brewer as hostesses.
Mrs. Thomas Eastham, Regent, opened the meeting welcoming everyone and thanking the hostesses.
The National Defense report, read by Mrs. Edward Barton, was concerned with English being the official language as it was established by the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and reinforced by the National Language Act of 1995.
