Last Friday, Jackie Lee Larimer of Manassas reported that $325 worth of miscellaneous lumber was stolen from his property on Route 645 on Amissville. A witness saw a pickup truck leave the property with the lumber, but no further description of the truck was available.
An attempted breaking and entering was reported to have happened at Rolf C. Johnsen’s property on Route 649 in Castleton last Saturday. Sheriff Woodward said that a caretaker for the property was advised by the swimming pool people that they saw a basement window broken out, though nothing was found to be missing.
