Ruth Fincham
Ruth Elizabeth Fincham, 55, of Sperryville died on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at her residence.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late James Homer and Verlie Horton Fincham.
She is survived by a sister, Dorothy P. Clark of Sperryville; two nieces, Maxie LeSueur of Culpeper and Rhonda Clark of Front Royal and two great-nephews, Joseph LeSueur of Culpeper and Nathan Almorode of Front Royal.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. John Burke officiating.
Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery .
Pallbearers were Bernard LeSueur, Billy W'ayland, John Clark, Jr., John Stacey Clark, Clyde Pullen and Sean Knick.
Maurice Carter
Maurice W. Carter of Sperryville died Monday, Sept. 25 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Sept. 29 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville by Pastor Henry Townes.
Mr. Carter was born in Sperryville, son of the late Ezra and Lena Carter.
He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Russell Carter of North Carolina; a brother, William Carter of Washington, D C. and a step-sister, Dorothy C. Butler of Sperryville.

Arrangements were handled by the W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper.
