Ludwig Stetka’s application for a variance was approved. He has property in the Twin Falls subdivision of Huntly which he purchased in 1983. At that time, he put in a foundation, septic and well, and has not done work on the property since then.

At the time Mr. Stetka built his foundation, the 50-foot setbacks complied with the Zoning Ordinance. Now, however, a 100-foot setback is required.

BZA member Sid Gottlieb said, “To apply the 100 foot setback here would mean you could not build anything.” Mr. Stetka replied that he already had $20,000 invested in the house project.

Mr. Zindel said that Mr. Stetka met the setbacks originally, and the members voted unanimously to approve the variance for Mr. Stetka.
