Hospice of the Rapidan, a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive medical care and volunteer support for terminally ill patients and their families, recently received a check for $12,500 from an anonymous source who commended Hospice on its work in the community.
Because Hospice of the Rapidan does not bill patients or their families for care, the organization will use $10,000 of the contribution to help cover the portion of patient care which is not reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.
