After four month as one of the first Virginia counties covered by the state Welfare Reform law, 10 of Rappahannock’s AFDC recipients were found to be covered by the work requirement.
Of those one is working full time, and three are attending post secondary school and working part time. Two are temporarily exempt because of medical conditions, and four have removed themselves from the program.
