Committee was considering two “companion”
One contained a ‘model ordinance” that a county could adopt that would be only way a county could regulate the application of sewage sludge to agricultural land at all. The other added sludge application to agricultural activities protected by the state’s Right To Farm Act as long as the sludge was spread no more often than once every three years.
In spite of strong opposition, the Agriculture Committee voted to support both bills.
