On Saturday, both varsity and JV beat the Eagles of Clarke County on their home turf. Saturday’s scores were 67-60 for varsity and 44-41 for JV.
Friday the teams had faced the Eagles on Panther home turf. The varsity went down 76-79. The JV won.
After Saturday’s game, Coach Baltimore said, the “Kids came out and played four quarters of basketball. Their heads were in the game from the beginning. I hope they can continue through the rest of the week.” Of course, they did just that on Monday.
High scorers for Saturday were Jon Butler, with 24 points, Willie Eastham, adding 19, and Jeff Atkins,
