George Lillard

George Walton (Doc) Lillard, 89, died on Thursday, Feb. 8 at Mary Washington Health Care in Colonial Beach.

He was bom on Oct. 23, 1907, .in Washington, Va. He was the son of the late Doc and Cora Partlow Lillard.

He graduated from the School in Washington, Va. and won a scholarship to Straylei College in Washington, D.C.

He worked for the American Ice Company in Washington, D.C. for a

number djf years until his health went bad. *

He spent the rest of his time with his mother in Washington, Va.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Lillard Head who passed away on April 29, 1994, at Nicholsville Kentucky.

He is survived by two sisters; Lorena Lillard Upham of Bridgewater and Catherine Lillard Boyd , of Colonial Beach.

He is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.

He will be cremated and there will be memorial services at the Masonic Cemetery when weather permits.

There will be an announcement put in the Rappahannock News later.
