youth and education winners will proceed to the JCPenney National Golden Rule Awards. The national winner will receive a special sculpture and a $10,000 grant to his or her volunteer organization, the youth winner will receive a $5,000 contribution to his or her non-profit organization and a $5,000 scholarship to the post-secondary school of his or her choice.
The JCPenney Golden Awards program is spearheaded by business and community leaders who, as a judging and awards committee, are responsible for determining the winners and finalist.
The deadline for non-profit organizations throughout Northern Virginia,, to submit nominations for the 1996 JCPenney Golden Rule Awards is Friday, March 8. Nomination forms can be obtained now at the Catalog Desks of Northern Virginia, JCPenney department stores, or by calling (703) 385-1500.
