Loss Felt

To the Editor:

It is with great sadness that I write this letter. The community has recently lost one of its most treasured citizens. Lois Peterson passed away last Week, and my family and I join the Peterson family in their sorrow.

Bob, Lois, and Janet have always been available to help so many of us, never saying “no.” Lois’s very presence at the clinic was always reassuring when we were sick. She was an asset to the Town of Washington and to Rappahannock County. People such, as Lois make our community a warm and caring place to live. We will miss

■ To the Editor:'

Having been out of the public eye since the great sludge debate, I feel obliged to write in response to your editorial of two weeks ago in which you supported the proposed Sperryville Bypass'

I did not attend the meeting held at the Sperryvifle Fire Hall about this issue, but 1 did read about it in your paper and if memory serves me corher.
