Congratulations to Dave and Dora Gheen upon their 60th anniversary Feb. 10. There was a lovely photo and writeup in last week’s Rappahannock News.
I spoke with Wayne McGlothlin from North Dakota. He said wind chill temperature got to -93 degrees one day. He reports he has some feeling in his fingers that were frost bitten recently. He drove to Reedville (Fleeton Beach) over the weekend. It was amazing, to see all the ice and snow. The Rappahannock River at Tappahannock and the Potomac River near entrance to the bay had large slabs of ice still.
Friends, Wallace and Pauline Glascock said there was even ice on the Bay there at Fleeton Beach. They saw a bald eagle during the snow storm.
Eugene Glascock got photos of the ice on the bay when visitipg his place at Fleeton he’s jFrom Marshall.
Wayne and Marie Johnson’s house at Fleeton is on a core completely covered with ice still, they recently moved into the renovated Hill Mansion on East Street in • Culpeper, they say they enjoy the area here.
