The budget is based on several estimates, Dr. Gangel explained. It i$ based on the assumption the Genenjil Assembly will adopt the budget submitted by Gov. George Allen. Thjg board will not know until after the
assembly adjourns in March exactly how much money to expect from the state. ' ■*
The budget is also based on an assumed 1,030 students in aver&gp daily membership. State aid is based on the number of students enrolled in school through March. *
New coaching stipends are included for JV wrestling, softball and baseball. The budget also includes additional funds for classroom materials and for teachers to attend conferences. !
Dr. Gangel presented much of this information at a special meeting of the board last Thursday and fleshed it out with his presentation at Tuesday ^ regular meeting. 1
