Last Friday at 7:25 a.m., Joseph Arthur Wenk, 31, of Washington, lost control of his 1988 Toyota pickup on ice on U.S. 211 and struck an embankment. The accident took place one mile east of Route 729. His truck sustained $4,000 damage, he was not injured, and no charges were placed, according to Trooper Moore’s report.

Trooper Moore also investigated an accident at 8:15 a.m. last Friday in which Randall Anthony Weaver, 29, of Stanley, lost control of his 1988 Ford pickup on ice. He struck a guardrail and embankment and overturned, but was. not injured. No charges were Filed in the accident, which happened on U.S. 522, .4 mile north of Route 604.
