Drum Workshop Set

Darrell Rose will be leading a drum workshop Saturday, Feb. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Community Center in Washington.

The workshop includes an introduction to drumming techniques, hand positions, how to achieve various sounds from drum and how to play basic rhythms. Mr. Rose is an active teacher and performer in Charlottesville and the East Coast. Pre-registration is required. Ages 16 and up. Cost is $20. To register call 987-8670.

Video Discussion Planned

On Feb. 18 the IRIS Centre for Shamanic Studies, Washington will show the ground-breaking program which put the men’s spirituality movement on the map, “Robert Bly with Bill Moyers: A Gathering of Men.” In this video, Poet Robert Bly leads a group of men in exploring their deeper feelings-about themselves, their father, their sons and their role in society. Water Monitoring Meeting Set

Rappahannock Water Monitoring Network will hold its monthly meeting from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Rappahannock Extension Office in the Conference Room. Following the meeting will be a Monitor Training session with Izaak Walter League, save our streams with Wee-President; Jay Gilliam. Beekeepers To Meet

The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its February meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building, at the comer of South West Street and Davis Street. The program will be: Late winter and very early spring management. All are welcome: prospective beekeepers, new beekeepers and experienced beekeepers.
