Vyktoria Pratt Keating was able to unveil her new CD "This Guardian at Noon" on her own Diaphanous label to a full house at the Blue Moon Cafe Saturday night in spite of the snowy weather.
The recording is a collection of Ms. Keating's own writings set to music. It was produced in a very few sessions with J. Christian Quick in his Stillness Sound Facility in Warrenton.
Besides contributing her soprano voice Ms. Keating plays acoustic guitar, dumbek, bells and chimes. Mr. Quick adds bass, sitar, keyboards, bowed cymbal and drums. One cut adds contributions by Jay Miles on drums, Tom Downey on bass and Jason Quick on flute. Another adds Bob Kloss on drums and Nathan Burke on bass.
