James Hoyle, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 1 at a nursing-home.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone with the Rev. Zoltan Phillips officiating.
Mr. Hoyle was a real estate partner with Ray T. Cannon for a number of years specializing in buying', selling and subdividing in Rappahannock and surrounding counties.
He is survived by his wife, Evangeline Watts Hoyle of Great Falls and a brother, Ivey Lester Hoyle.
Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home in Blackstone was in charge of the arrangements.
