Would you please tell us how extra homework and final exams to third grade students is going to repair the state of our bathrooms in the elementary school as well as the high school? You obviously do not have students in our school system or you would see the need for some improvement.
Talk to our teachers and administration and let them give you the realities of the needs in our schools. You were right about one thing though, the schools are not the same as when I was in school, but people like you expect the schools to function with a budget from twenty years ago. It seems like the only time anybody complains about our taxes going up is when they need to go up for the better education of our kids. This annoys me.
Parents in the school system need to start speaking out about this issue. The only people the Board of Supervisors ever hear from are probably those who don't have children in our schools. Why should they be allowed to take away from those of us who do. Oh, by the way, your taxes are going to go up anyway. Every year they do.
