With option B, calls made to the new area that last five minutes or less will be billed at $.20. Additional minutes will also cost $.20 under this plan. As an example, a four-minute call would cost $.20 and a six-minute call would cost $.40.
Option C provides subscribers with unlimited calling to Washington. Calls are not billed separately, but customers will see a fee of $15 per residential line added to their bill. The service costs $26 per business line and $46 per PBX Trunk and Centrex SEATS. In selecting this option, customers should compare their current monthly long distance charges to Washington to the $15 fee, Miller recommended.Miller said Bell Atlantic is implementing similar plans across the state.
According to Bell Atlantic, the company will waive the charge to change from one option to another for six months, starting May 1. After the six-month period, the charge will be $9 for residential customers and $17 for businesses. Also, listings for Washington will be added to the 1998 Bell Atlantic Loudoun-Fauquier telephone directory.
