Some of the Smithsonian Chamber Players who ' played at tire Theatre earlier this month live in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and others came from across the country.
The pianist Lambert Orkis and : cellist Kenneth Slowik, who play music of Bach, Beethoven and Schubert in the final concert of the current Smithsonian at Little | Washington series on April 27, both travel the globe giving concerts. Scheduling just one concert in the • lives of busy professionals is a complex matter.
Each of these three remaining live programs this month will be fol- p\ lowed by a “green room” reception so that members of the audience can meet the performers and each other for light refreshments and discussion. And that’s an opportunity ; which TV, videos and compact discs .1 cannot match!
