The late President Lyndon Johnson recalled with a chuckle that when he was a young school teach applying for a job he was asked by the principal if he believed the earth was round or flat.
Anxious for employment, Johnson answered, “I can teach it both ways.”

County Meeting
To the Editor:
On the agenda for the upcoming Planning Commission meeting will be consideration of new regulations applying to Conservation Zoning in Rappahannock County. I urge all those people who attended the Ridgetop Development meeting sponsored by the Rappahannock News to attend this meeting. Copies of the regulations under review can be obtained from John McCarthy at the Zoning Administrator’s office.
The meeting will be held at the Courthouse, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.
