innings Rappahannock was leading 86. In the bottom of the fourth, the Lady Panthers scored a season-high 8 runs. Taylor led off the inning with a single and Courtney Mauro joined her on the bases with a walked. Freeborn drove in a run hitting a single. The next four batters reached base by drawing walks.
Then, Haynes’ single brought in two more runs. The Lady Panthers continued to score with five more runs in the sixth. Haynes and Taylor led Rappahannock’s offensive attack each getting three hits a piece. Fairbrother, Haynes, Taylor, Mauro, Freeborn, Tiffany Keys, and Stacey Payne all had RBI’s for Rappahannock. Freeborn also had a homerun in the first inning and Fairbrother had a triple in the sixth. Haynes did a great job on the mound and was the winning pitcher. The Lady Panthers take the field again Thursday as they host Page County.
