Session I, June 23-27, will be an offering of three intensive nature study classes for older children and teens. The three classes, which the camper should choose one from, are:
. 1) A Survey of Virginia Reptiles and Amphibians — taught by Van Carney ‘•with a special emphasis on learning the commcyi name, general habitat and key characteristics of specimens found. The participants will learn the basics of the scientific method and how to conduct a natural history study. Several field trips will be included. Ages 12 and up.
2) Arts and Nature — taught by Welby Lynn, a native a Rappahannock County. Campers will observe their natural surroundings and will incorporate all facets of nature into their artwork. Will 'utilize natural elements in our artwork, which will include woodworking. Ages 10-13.
