The Lady Panthers took the field the following day to play.Stonewall Jackson in another close game. After just three innings the score was S-S and remained tied until the seventh inning. The Lady Panthers were threatened in the fifth inning when Stonewall had runners on second and third and just one out. Stonewall’s Kiggleman hit the ball to deep center where Kerr made a nice catch and then threw a runner out at home plate who was trying to tag up. /
Stonewall Jackson scored in the top of the seventh as Helsely led off the inning with a walk and after advancing to third base on passed balls stole home. The Lady Panthers did not score in the seventh and lost 6-5. Fairbrother and Amy Freeborn had RBI’s for Rappahannock.
