Food-borne illness strikes Americans more than 12 million times each year. More than three-quarters of the outbreaks are blamed on food eaten outside the home. While such illness can be as mild as a stomach ache, it can be much more serious and sometimes fatal. Children and elderly are among those who are most at risk.
The evening workshop will be held at the G.W. Carver Piedmont Technical Center, Route 15, ten miles north or Orange from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $10 for the notebook. The Saturday workshop will be held at the Fauquier Extension office, 24 Pelham Street, Warrenton from 8;30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for the notebook and a $2 registration fee. Only one notebook fee is required per organization and more than one person from an organization can participate.
