When the Thomas, Lord Culpeper Chapter, Colonial Dames XI1 Century met April 2 at Fauquier Country club, the speaker was an eighth generation native of Fauquier.
Robert Sinclair focused his talk around the economic development of the area. Mr. Sinclair, who is President of the Fauquier Heritage Society had been a Principal in Fauquier and after retirement has been following his first love—history. Right now her has gone back to teaching, teaching history to teen agers.
He told us that he really enjoys what he is doing and that his wife enjoys the fact that he has a captive audience—the teenage students—who help siphon off his enthusiasm for the subject. What lucky students!
His audience at the meeting was not a group of teen agers, but ladies from Rappahannock, Madison, Orange, Culpeper and Fauquier
