The U-14 team played Fauquier IV on May 30 and lost 0 to 3. The season ended with the losses of seven games. Coach Lorinda Bosch attributed the scores to playing teams that were simply more experienced and to the number of Rappahannock players who were just beginning to play soccer. She and co-coach Maureen Day are looking forward to all the players returning next year. “They will certainly do better next year,” said Lorinda. The U-12 team pulled off an incredible victory of 4-0 in their last game with Fauquier 3. The scores have dramatically improved over the season. Coach John Bridgeman deserves to be applauded for pulling the many good players together.
On May 26 the U-10 team won a victory of 5-3 and won again on May 30 in an exciting game in Culpeper with a score of 2-1. Everyone on the tames played their hearts out,” said Coach Linda Torrence.The U-8 teach coached by Rob Parrish won all but two of their games against the other Rappahannock U-8 team coached by Tom Pendleton.Mark Pace coach for U-6 team was unable to be reached. The Soccer Banquet will be held at the Rappahannock Park on June 7 at 6 p.m.
