Mr. Frazier made a motion that the Board should approve lowering the speed limit to 45 mph on Routes 729 and 642 (Viewtown Road). All BOS members approved the motion.

Mr. Moore will now report the information to VDOT and then relay more information to the county.

Karen Foster, of Congressman Frank Wolf’s office, was present at the meeting. The Congressman had sent a letter to the Board addressing his concerns about accidents on the road and his support for working toward improvements in road conditions for Route 729.

Bemie Fisken, of Flint Hill, spoke to the Board, “I just want to express my appreciation for what VDOT has already done on Route 630. They were very responsive and hopefully We’ve resolve that situation.”
