The Committee on the Future of the Town of Washington held a town hall meeting last Wednesday night to hear citizens’ comments regarding the proposed expansion of town boundaries, and many of those citizens were very upset.
Committee Chairperson Ray Gooch told the standing-room only crowd of about 80 that the committee believed that the boundary issue would be one of the most controversial to come up before the town, and that the committee was there to listen to everyone’s comments and questions. (Other members of the committee are Mitzie Young, Steve Critzer, Charlie Tompkins, Stewart Willis, Louise van Dort and Peter Skowronski).
