tional business. This past school year has been especially busy for John. He has served as the president of the National Honor Society, president of the Technology Student Association (TSA) for the state of Virginia, and has served as a peer mediator in the school’s first year mediation program.
Last summer, he attended the American Legion Boys’ State in Lynchburg. Twice has been nominated to attend the National Leadership Youth Council and has been included in Who’s Who in America as a student twice.
This year, he was named the top student in Advanced Placement English and received the Tandy Technology Scholar award for being in the top two percent of his class. In his freshman year, he was class president, and was secretary of the Student Council Association while a sophomore. He has been a member of the NHS since his sophomore year. He is the son of Skip and Dee Dee Arnold of Amissville.
