tion next May, the Futures Committee will be having an ongoing dialogue with the town residents and interested citizens about the issues brought up at the last two meetings. Nothing will be decided before then. Their main concern is to have this interaction and input so they have a good understanding of what people want.
Others at the meeting expressed their viewpoints. Diane Bruce said it seems the town is right to think about the future. During the last council water taps were given away, on the land along Harris Hollow Rd., in exchange for a right of way for the water system on that land. “Now we have a problem,” she said.
Jennings Hobson said he had a lot of concerns. “You either manage the dynamics or they manage you,” he said, adding “Change does hurt. It always does.”
Two former parking studies have shown that there is not a parking problem in town, though some disagree with that. Peter Skowronski will be looking at the parking issue and will report to the new council next June.
