Robert Richard Frye Sr, 87, of Etlan, died on Wednesday, June 4, at his residence.
He was bom August 3, 1909, the son of the late Hubert and Mary Emma Richards Frye.
He was a farmer, a native of Madison County and a member of the Nazareth Baptist Church in Boston.
His wife was the late Virginia Belle Wright. .
He is survived by four children, James Wade Frye Sr. of Rixeyville, Barbara Virginia Hull of Fredericksburg, Robert Richard Frye Jr. of Radiant, and Teddy MacArthur Frye of Etlan; one brother, Carroll Frye of Richmond; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 9, at Nazareth Baptist Church in Boston with the Rev. Howard R. Frye officiating.
Interment was in the family section of Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery, Boston.
