This upcoming Sunday, June 15, is Father s Day and what to serve for special days is always a topic of conversation. Whether you plan a hearty breakfast, a light lunch and a family gathering for the dinner hour, it all requires special thoughts for a special day.
Fathers usually enjoy breakfast, especially if they are farmers or if their work keeps them outside for most of the time.
Casseroles that can be prepared the night before makes for a wonderful start to that perfect Father’s Day breakfast. Served with toast or french toast if you feel energetic enough and topped off with fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice would be delightful and sure to please any Dad.
Following are a couple of casserole recipes that are easy to make and always a hit.
Overnight Breakfast
Brown 1 pound of sausage, put 4 slices of bread in casserole dish.
Whip: 8 eggs. 2 1/2 cups of milk and 1 teaspoon dry mustard.
