Mattie Campbell
Mattie (Peggy) Leake Campbell, 83, of Culpeper, died on Thursday, June 5 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Campbell was bom on April 18, 1914 in Rappahannock County to the late Raymond Gorrell and Louella Woodard Leake.
She was a member of the former Cedar Grove Methodist Church and was a waitress at Gayheart Drug Store.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James H. Campbell, Jr., of Culpeper; two sisters, Sally Leake and Lucille Moubray, both of Orange and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 8 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Martin and Rev. Clyde Woodard officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Hale, Don Weakley, Joey Campbell, Steve Leake, Donnie Leake, Tim Moubray, Jeff Moubray and Danny Leake.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 715, Culpeper, Va. 22701.
Found & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Dorothy Lewis
Dorothy Nethers Lewis, 69, of Huntly, died Thursday, June 5 at the Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Front Royal.
Funeral services were held at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 8 with the Rev. Merlin Shorb officiating.
Interment was in the Flint Hill Cemetery in Flint Hill.
