“Several of our local non-profit vendors will be selling T-shirts, sweatshirts, some light food and beverages,” said Tompkins. The 35 vendors who have responded are both local and from out of state, said Tompkins, adding that he expects the number of vendors to grow to 70 as in past years. Anyone wishing to be a vendor should call 6753193, the number for RAAC and leave their name and address and where to send the vendor information. Focus on Water
The Ragged Mountain Resource Center, the Rappahannock County government, The Middle Street Gallery, the Rappahannock County Extension Office/4-H, the Piedmont Environmental Council, The Rappahannock County Library and the Izaak Walter League, are putting together a month-long focus during July on water quality in the Rappahannock River Watershed entitled “From the Blue Ridge to the Bay — Water Quality for the Future”. Activities scheduled thus far include an Art Show at the Middle Street Gallery (entry deadline June 13!), a panel discussion, hikes, poetry and literature readings, audio-visual showings, a water monitcring demonstration and the official opening of the "County Comer'’ at the library.
